The Role


We are seeking an exceptionally talented Human Resources Associate, with an emphasis in benefits, compensation, and payroll, to support our employees both in the US and globally. A successful candidate is mature, professional, organized, able to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information, and can manage a diverse workload all the while prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will also have a strong desire to learn and grow within the Human Resources department.


While the main function of this role will be supporting benefits, compensation, and payroll, you will also have opportunities to get involved in select initiatives and ad-hoc projects across the Human Capital Management team, as well as help improve and shape HR policies and practices. Some examples regarding benefits responsibilities can include but aren’t limited to: completing onboarding-related activities and assisting employees with enrollment, benefit changes, and lifecycle of various benefit plans, ensuring accuracy of all benefits elections in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information, partnering with external vendors to offer employees superior employee experience as it relates to benefits, managing the annual benefits calendar and facilitating events throughout the year, and deftly managing employee relations regarding benefits to nurture a supportive and holistic approach to employee health and wellness.

Regarding payroll: reviewing and submitting payroll reports for compensation changes and benefit offerings (HSA, 401k, FSA, etc.) as well as acting as a liaison between employees, HR, payroll, and tax departments. Regarding compensation: you will play a vital role in the administration of the year-end compensation process, become a trusted advisor to the business by providing guidance and supporting data for compensation decisions, and assist in coordinating period submissions such as regulatory filings and market data benchmarking.

Day-to-day responsibilities include ad-hoc reporting requests, updating various compensation and HRIS systems, and relationship management with employees and leaders.


What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (3-5 years of experience working in a professional environment)
  • Experience with an HRIS, preferably Workday
  • Experience with processing a payroll system, preferably ADP Workforce Now
  • An understanding of compensation market data and experience with benchmarking submissions
  • Experience with administering a year-end compensation process with discretionary incentives
  • Experience running benefits orientations and resolving issues related to benefits claims
  • Experience in managing employee leave plans (Parental Leave, FMLA, STD, LTD, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills and expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Process-oriented and very strong attention to detail
  • Efficient time management and strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently, apply judgement and discretion, as well as be part of a team


We’d love if you had:

  • Knowledge of payroll/benefit laws and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with equity compensation and system management, preferably Fidelity

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $110,000 and $125,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
