HR MANAGER, (CONTRACT, PT - FT)

Direct Agents is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead our People & Culture team during the SVP of HR's parental leave. This role requires someone who can provide strong leadership, realign evolving priorities as needed, and drive initiatives forward with urgency. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, a strong communicator, and capable of guiding teams with diverse experience levels, ensuring alignment with our fast-paced business needs.

This is a Part Time - Full Time hours (Contract) role is onsite and based in NYC. This role has a starting rate of $55 - $65/hr depending on experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly oversee the People & Culture team, ensuring timely execution of business priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactively address challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and provide impactful and swift solutions to maintain a best-in-class work environment
  • Provide expertise as a trusted business partner across a diverse set of company-wide HR functions and initiatives (including but not limited to: hiring and recruitment, onboarding and employee life cycle, culture and retention, office management, technology, etc.)
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends, new technology and best practices as well as employment law and compliance
  • Ensure all sensitive team member information is handled with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity


YOUR BACKGROUND

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • 1+ years of people management experience, including leading HR teams or direct reports
  • Proven success in high-growth, fast-moving environments where agility and decision-making are key
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a heightened sense of urgency in addressing challenges
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly identify and resolve obstacles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring projects are seen through to completion
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a positive attitude and ability to engage across all functions
  • Deep sense of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Passion for people, culture, and fostering a best-in-class workplace experience
