Our platform provides the tools needed for precise audience targeting and in-depth campaign performance analysis. We are seeking an experienced Head of Strategy, Planning & Insights to lead our strategic planning and insights team and drive our client strategies across both digital and TV channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning Leadership:
- Lead the development and execution of integrated media planning strategies across digital and TV channels, ensuring alignment with client objectives and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful campaign recommendations, leveraging our Demand-Side Platform (DSP) capabilities and other media solutions.
- Conduct strategic media mix modeling and optimize campaign performance based on data insights to achieve maximum ROI for clients.
Customer Insights and Data Analysis:
- Leverage demographic, psychographic, and behavioral data to generate actionable insights that enhance understanding of target audiences.
- Design and deliver consumer insights reports, campaign performance analysis, and actionable recommendations based on thorough data research.
- Use audience segmentation and modeling techniques to craft tailored campaign plans and improve targeting accuracy.
Collaboration and Client Engagement:
- Partner with internal product, sales, account management, and supply teams to ensure insights and strategies align with customer objectives.
- Serve as a key client-facing leader, presenting data-driven insights, campaign strategies, and results, while fostering long-term client relationships.
- Provide expert guidance and thought leadership to clients on campaign optimization, trends, and emerging technologies in the sports media space.
Innovation and Optimization:
- Identify emerging trends, new platforms, and technologies that can enhance campaign performance across digital and TV channels.
- Drive continuous campaign improvement by analyzing past performance and applying insights to optimize future planning and execution.
- Contribute to product and platform development by identifying DSP enhancements that align with strategic planning goals.
Competitive Intelligence & Industry Thought Leadership:
- Monitor competitor strategies and market trends, providing regular insights and updates to internal teams and clients.
- Share industry knowledge through contributions to publications, speaking at relevant conferences, and participating in thought leadership initiatives to position Genius Sports as a leader in media planning and insights.
Cross-Channel Attribution & Performance Analysis:
- Design and implement attribution models to accurately measure the impact of integrated CTV and digital campaigns, providing insights on channel interplays and their contribution to campaign success.
- Use path-to-conversion analysis to optimize audience targeting and campaign outcomes.
Platform and Audience Insights Management:
- Manage third-party insights platforms (e.g., Statista) and leverage these tools to enhance data-driven decision-making and create compelling thought leadership perspectives.
- Develop and implement advanced audience segmentation strategies, utilizing both first-party and third-party data to identify high-value consumer segments.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in media planning and insights, with a strong background in both digital media and traditional TV.
- Proven expertise in developing integrated media strategies that combine TV and digital touchpoints to meet client objectives.
- Experience in working with major consumer datasets and understanding advanced targeting techniques.
- Experience in RFP management and plat form yield analysis, particularly in the context of maximizing campaign performance through DSP capabilities.
Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in demographic, psychographic, and behavioral data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with media planning tools, data visualization platforms, DSPs, and other relevant analytics tools.
- Expertise in cross-channel attribution, audience modeling, and campaign performance measurement.
Leadership & Communication Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving performance.
- Strong client-facing experience, including delivering impactful presentations and building long-term relationships based on strategic value.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with media mix modeling and strategic budget allocation across channels for optimal ROI.
- Familiarity with third-party insights platforms and experience managing such tools to enhance campaign and audience insights.
- Expertise in competitive intelligence and the ability to identify emerging trends and market opportunities.

- The salary for this role is $120,000 to $140,000 per annum depending on relevant experience. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
