Role Overview:
As Head of Customer Solutions Engineering, your primary responsibility will be to design the technical strategy and approach to onboarding websites with Nostra’s technology, troubleshooting bugs, and consulting clients on how to best optimize their websites. You will manage, and develop a team of Customer Success Engineers and train them on how to onboard clients swiftly and securely.
This role features significant client interaction. You will demonstrate Nostra’s technology to Chief Technology Officers and marketing leaders at companies generating tens of millions in annual revenue. Part of your role will include directly presenting your recommendations on how these businesses can optimize their website with Nostra and beyond to drive value to our most important stakeholders.
You will interface closely with Nostra’s product engineering team in order to learn about Nostra’s technical infrastructure, amplify your coding skill set, and provide input on how to improve the product for your team. Nostra gives all engineers the opportunity to develop their coding skill set and take the lead on productizing your best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Onboarding client’s with Nostra’s core technology
- Assisting customers with minor DNS changes related to Nostra.
- Analyzing eCommerce sites for performance optimizations utilizing Google Lighthouse, WebPageTest, GTmetrix, and other standard web performance tools.
- Documenting customer-specific performance optimization recommendations that are outside of the scope of Nostra’s core products.
- Identifying functionally impacting changes in Customers’ ecommerce sites as new versions of their sites are released and adapting Nostra’s product integration to accommodate the changes.
- Detecting the root causes of issues, web components, JS, and executing solutions aligned with the latest version build.
- Creating reusable implementation templates across customers.
- Working with Product Engineering to diagnose and fix issues that arise in the core product
- Train, mentor, and review the work of other web developers on the team.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- 3+ years of managing a team, mentoring others while also being an individual contributor
- Expert-level experience in website performance and optimizations, including Core Web Vitals
- Extremely comfortable traversing the DOM
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, both internally and with customers
- Strong attention to detail in your work and reviewing others
- Excellent critical thinking and creative analysis skills

Compensation:
- The compensation package for this position includes an annual salary of $120,000 - $155,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
