Head of Behavioral Health
About the Opportunity
Quartet’s Head of Behavioral health will serve as the behavioral health leader across the organization. Reporting to the CMO, this physician leader will serve in a key leadership role spanning across our care enablement and care delivery businesses. This will include providing oversight and mentorship over behavioral health clinicians, collaboration with cross functional teams to design programs, and partner with growth and client success teams to drive client satisfaction and growth.
Note: This role is initially intended to be part-time, with a commitment of 1-2 days per week (8 to 16 hours). Part of this role's responsibilities will include seeing patients in Quartet's Virtual Clinic, as well as supervision of Nurse Practitioners in our Virtual Clinic.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health leadership across Quartet Health’s Care Enablement and Care Delivery solutions
- Provide strategic guidance and support to Innovatel Telepsych and Quartet Virtual Clinic clinical teams in behavioral health care delivery
- Lead clinical quality for behavioral health across all of Quartet’s entities, collaborating across solutions to define and monitor KPIs, and addressing performance gaps
- Support business growth via thought leadership, conference attendance/presentation, and client relationships
- Serve as the primary, client-facing clinical leader for Quartet’s Care Connections, Innovatel Telepsychiatry, and Quartet Virtual Clinic lines of business
- Act as the primary, internal subject matter expert for psychiatry in Quartet’s risk programs
- Collaborate with the company’s Chief Medical Officer on continued development and execution of risk models
- Spend 20-30% of their time directly delivering virtual behavioral health care in the company’s Virtual Clinic business
- Directly supervise clinical management staff (nurse practitioners) as needed and assigned
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified in adult psychiatry
- Active medical license in good standing
- Willing to work part-time - 1-2 days per week
- Willing and able to be a collaborating physician in the State of New Jersey for for PMHNPs in Quartet's Virtual Clinic
- 5+ years of clinical experience
- 3+ years in some combination of clinical program design across different lines of business, experience working with payors, focus on quality and/ or value based care
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Active medical and DEA licensure
- NJ and PA medical licenses are strongly preferred
- Interest in maintaining a part time clinical practice
- Experience working in or closely with health plans
- Ability to speak to Quartet’s full range of product/business offerings and lead executive-level discussions with external client partners
- Ability to travel across the US, as needed
- Experience leading clinical teams to improve quality, lower costs, and drive clinical outcomes
- Experience with value-based care programs
- Experience with community psychiatry and managing a clinical practice
- Well versed in evidence based medicine, collaborative care, and quality measurement
Role Level and Compensation Details
- The final level of this role will be determined commensurate with the successful candidate’s background, credentials and experience, and may range from Vice President level to C-Suite level
- The full-time base salary range for these various levels will fall between $240,000-300,000, and will be pro-rated for the part time nature of the role
