Better Off is an MIT-founded tech startup for in-person social experiences and better weekends.
What does that mean? We're a marketplace like Amazon—but for IRL Social instead of products, like:

The Better Off platform lets users join curated social events and meet new people outside work and dating apps—through real-life experiences.
Our custom AI makes sure users are surrounded by the people they want to connect with, such as artists, entrepreneurs, singles, couples, adventure partners, foodies, travel buddies, etc.
🚀 We’re launching in major cities this year, and we’re looking for a Growth Marketer to join our 12-person team as our first dedicated marketing hire. You’ll work directly with the CEO to build and execute our marketing strategies, grow the brand, and get Better Off in front of the right people.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role—you’ll be at the forefront of building a new category: IRL Social.
🔹 What You'll Do
✔ Own and execute growth marketing campaigns across TikTok, Instagram, and other channels.
✔ Run influencer partnerships—identify, pitch, and collaborate with creators to drive brand awareness.
✔ Help plan launches in new cities—developing marketing playbooks to expand Better Off.
✔ Launch paid ad campaigns on TikTok & Instagram, testing creative, targeting, and messaging.
✔ Build exciting IRL Social content for TikTok & IG using CapCut & Canva.
✔ Experiment with guerrilla marketing tactics to drive organic growth.
✔ Track and analyze performance data in Mixpanel to optimize user acquisition and retention.
✔ Get us into the press—help with PR efforts to get Better Off featured in key media.
🔹 Who You Are
✔ You’re creative, analytical, and locked in on marketing/social media trends.
✔ You know TikTok and Instagram well —what performs, what goes viral, and how to create engaging content.
✔ You’re comfortable running paid ads or willing to learn quickly.
✔ You thrive in fast-moving, scrappy startup environments and love experimenting with growth tactics.
✔ You have a strong eye for design and branding—Canva/CapCut experience is a plus.
✔ You’re data-driven—you like tracking performance and iterating on what works.
✔ You’re excited about bringing people together IRL and making social life better.

As an IRL Social marketplace, we host experiences from ski trips and sports leagues to social brunches and winery tours to give users a way to meet new people outside work and dating apps—through real-life experiences.
Our platform gives experience creators the tools to manage and scale their events, so they can focus on creating the best possible white water rafting trips, ceramics classes, murder mysteries, etc. without worrying about building an app or digital marketing campaign. Like Amazon but for social experiences instead of products.
