We are looking for a lead social media strategist to work on the exciting relaunch of a beloved fashion brand.

Working with the editorial brand lead as well as the Growth and Video teams, you will be the point person for day to day social creative and forward vision planning for the brand’s social handles across all platforms. 

You will bring with you deep knowledge of social content creation, especially TikTok and Instagram. Plus a ton of creative ideas and passion for luxury fashion, beauty and lifestyle content. 

You will be charged with ensuring all social content reinvigorates the brand’s iconic aesthetic, working closely with the Growth team to ensure it’s optimized for performance KPIs; hitting our follower growth and engagement goals, while also helping to build the brand’s authority in our core verticals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Autonomously lead and create daily social video content—quick-turn, elevated creative—that meets the design and brand goals as outlined by the Brand Lead and executive team
  • Work with the Executive Producer, Social and the Social Strategy Team to create and refine innovative methodologies to support channel growth
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and passion for fashion, beauty and the luxury space
  • Lead a team of creators to adapt content ideas and execution through analysis/best practice feedback and learnings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments at GMG on rapid fire requests and tight timelines
  • Implement and share new ideas/formats, work with Executive Producer and Brand Lead to create new brand-building and sponsorable content franchises, integrating brands as needed 

Skills & Experience: 

  • Proven experience producing social media content at scale
  • 7 to 10+ years working in social content/creative, preferably in the fashion or beauty space
  • An authority on content creation—can create inspiring and engaging content with equal comfort behind a mobile phone or more advanced camera. Additional skills in photography and/or design are a plus. 
  • Immersed in the fashion, beauty, and luxury space—access and relationships with a range of connections from brands to public relations firms to industry talent
  • Finger on the pulse of culture and what’s trending across social platforms 
  • You will be a proven creative and data-driven thinker who understands the importance of both art and science when it comes to social content success

Location: New York

  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
  • Base Salary $80,000 - $100,000
