About the role

We are looking for a dedicated designer to join our well-established team for a one- year contract, focusing exclusively on French packaging for our home video business. You will play a crucial part in creating and delivering high-quality packaging materials, ensuring our products meet market demand and are released. Your work will be collaborative, involving close coordination with other creative team members, such as design, copy, and project management, as well as other important partners. Your success will be measured by your ability to produce, high-quality designs, meet project deadlines, and contribute to the release of products, thereby driving revenue growth.

  • Assess licensor art and complete market/consumer research 
  • Watching content to best understand the visuals and narrative
  • Brainstorming and developing packaging designs
  • Partner with the Production team to complete projects  
  • Ensure packaging designs represent the anime and will be received well by fans
  • Work with team members to identify suitable and cost-effective materials and finishes for the product and packaging
  • Handle creative revisions from multiple partners

As the Packaging Designer, you will report to the Senior Director of Creative, Global Collectibles.

Please note that this role is remote and open to applicants residing in the following U.S. states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Applicants must have a primary residence in one of these states to be eligible for this position.

About You

  • You have 3+ years of experience in packaging design
  • You have full professional proficiency in French. You will be expected to have conversations and read/write at an advanced level and have a firm understanding of the language
  • You have experience in market and consumer research, allowing you to create designs that resonate with target audiences.
  • You are familiar with packaging files, materials, and prepress processes, ensuring your work meets production standards.
  • You can develop projects from concept through execution
  • You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, leveraging these tools to create compelling and designs.

The Home Entertainment Creative Team is a well-established group of seasoned professionals dedicated to empowering fans to own premium anime collections. We collaborate closely with Product Development, Sales, and Global Operations to design and market high-quality collectibles on a global scale. Our team, comprising experts in Production, Copywriting, and Design, operates across North America, Australia/New Zealand, the UK, France, and Germany. Together, we drive innovation and maintain our position as industry leaders by consistently pushing creative boundaries and delivering exceptional products that resonate with fans worldwide. Our success is measured by our ability to elevate the Global Home Entertainment business and continuously set new standards in the market.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
