Medbill AI is looking for a highly driven and resourceful Founding Talent Lead to join our early-stage team. You will be responsible for building our team from the ground up, owning the entire recruitment process from A to Z. As our first recruiter, you’ll have a unique opportunity to shape our talent acquisition strategy, culture, and future talent pipeline.

This role might be a good fit for you if you have 3-6 years of recruiting experience, have worked in both large companies and startups, or are comfortable with scrappy, hands-on recruiting.

You’d be an ideal candidate if you are passionate about Medbill AI’s mission and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can take on challenges, develop strategies, and grow into a future Head of Talent role.

What You’ll Do

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead the hiring process from sourcing to closing, building a high-performing team for Medbill AI.

  • Strategic Talent Development: Create and execute recruiting strategies aligned with Medbill AI's growth objectives, helping us scale as the company evolves.

  • Candidate Experience: Provide an exceptional candidate journey, ensuring a transparent and engaging process for all applicants.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Partner with our founders and leadership team to anticipate talent needs, build out job profiles, and hire top talent across a variety of functions.

  • Problem Solving: Leverage creative sourcing strategies to identify passive candidates and build strong pipelines in a resource-constrained environment.

  • Culture Builder: Help establish and maintain a positive, mission-driven work culture that aligns with our vision and values.

  • Networking Savvy: Utilize your network to connect with top talent and stay ahead of hiring trends in the tech and healthcare industries.

About you

About You

  • Experience: 3-6 years of recruiting experience with a combination of both startup and large company environments. Experience building teams at a fast-growing company is a plus.

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Demonstrated ability to manage the entire recruitment process, from identifying needs to closing candidates.

  • High EQ & Communication Skills: You can connect with candidates on a personal level, sell the mission of Medbill AI, and foster strong relationships internally.

  • Entrepreneurial: You’re resourceful, determined, and don’t take “no” for an answer. You thrive in ambiguity and find creative solutions to hiring challenges.

  • Sales-Driven: You know how to sell the opportunity and the excitement of joining a fast-paced, mission-driven company to potential candidates.

  • Growth-Oriented: You're excited by the opportunity to grow into a Head of Talent as we scale and build a talent function from scratch.
