Fileread AI is a cutting-edge AI startup that enables litigators to shift from the traditional “search and review” to the “ask and answer” style of finding the key facts faster and more thoroughly, without risking hallucinations or losing control of confidential information. Our current customer base is mostly law firms (AMlaw 100 & Boutique litigation law firms) and we have analyzed some of the highly sensitive and high-profile litigation matters that appeared in publications such as the WSJs. We are backed by Gradient (Google’s AI investment vehicle), Soma Capital (owner of Sacramento Kings), HFO (LPs such as Marc Andreessen), and several strategic angel investors who are either entrepreneurs or lawyers.
About the Role:
We are looking for a talented Strategic Partnerships Lead with a background in litigation to lead the market strategy, positioning, and sales growth of our legal solutions. This hybrid role combines product marketing with sales, ideal for a litigation professional with at least 3 years of experience, seeking to drive product success in the legal tech space.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Marketing:
- Develop go-to-market strategies for legal technology products, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
- Lead product positioning, messaging, and differentiation strategies based on a deep understanding of litigation workflows and legal pain points.
- Collaborate with product development teams to influence features that enhance marketability and user adoption.
- Create compelling sales and marketing materials, including product presentations, case studies, and white papers that highlight key product benefits for legal professionals.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute digital campaigns, content marketing, and demand generation strategies.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to refine product offerings and identify new opportunities for growth.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Drive sales initiatives by presenting products to prospective clients and articulating how they address specific litigation challenges.
- Collaborate with the sales team to refine value propositions, tailor proposals, and ensure alignment with client needs.
- Conduct product demos and training for law firms, legal departments, and other stakeholders, using your litigation experience to establish credibility and trust.
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to drive product adoption and expand market reach.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and webinars to build awareness and generate leads.
Qualifications:
- Experience: at least 3 years of experience in litigation, with a strong understanding of legal workflows and challenges, particularly in the litigation space.
- Executive Management: Executive engagement skills and presence, with an ability to establish strong relationships with key decision makers and build credibility at all levels.
- Presentation Skills: Outstanding presentation skills to both legal and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.
- Legal Processes Familiarity: Strong understanding of legal processes and challenges faced by legal professionals.
- Marketing Skills: Ability to craft compelling product messaging and marketing strategies targeted at legal professionals.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear product benefits.
- Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with product development, sales, and marketing teams to align goals and drive product success.
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with legal technology tools or strong interest in innovation in the legal space, with the ability to learn and demonstrate product functionalities. Passion for legal innovation and are comfortable in a startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing contract attorneys.
- Participation in court trials.
- Sales or customer-facing experience, including law firm business development and/or secondment, is a plus, as is experience directly managing law firm client matters and client relationships.
Salary Range:
- $150K-$300K (OTE); Equity 0.5%-2% Total compensation will depend on base, commission and equity. The expected OTE (on-target earnings) range of compensation for this role is between $150,000 and $300,000.
Location:
- Long Island City, New York
In-Office Hybrid Role:
- Must be willing to work in office in Long Island City, NY location 3 days / week, with WFH flexibility a few days a week.
