Job Description
As a Vice President in the Global Philanthropy Financial Health team, you will drive our commitment to create opportunities for individuals to build financial security and long-term wealth. Working within a team structure, this role will lead complex grant making, design and implement high-quality qualitative and quantitative impact analyses, synthesize key insights, communicate best practices with senior stakeholders, and manage strategic third-party partners. The Vice President will collaborate with many teams across the firm, along with external partners, to design and drive a firm-wide Financial Health strategy. This role reports to the Head of Financial Health. A successful candidate will have a strong background in financial health, economic mobility, and/or other related financial services social impact issues.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic funding initiatives, with input and support that extends across a highly matrixed internal environment, including departments across Corporate Responsibility and teams globally
  • Inform the development of team strategy and take part in a collaborative business planning process to support Global Philanthropy, Corporate Responsibility, and the firm's broader inclusive economic development agendas
  • Develop and maintain a productive network of professional relationships with key government, philanthropic, nonprofit, and other community leaders
  • Position and represent the firm as a thought leader among stakeholders through different outlets, including media and conferences
  • Oversee the development of materials for internal and external use that tells a compelling story of the impact of the portfolio and elevates grantees
  • Responsibly help manage grant making budget and other expenses (e.g., events, communications)
  • Leverage in-depth subject matter expertise, data, and analysis to deliver a cohesive multi-year grant making strategy
  • Execute and inform impact framework and learning agenda for a multi-year portfolio
  • Manage internal reporting systems and perform data analysis and quality control regularly, including tracking grant progress, metrics, and insights to inform future direction of portfolio
  • Understand the risk profile of the grant making portfolio and propose the right level of mitigation; escalates controls issues with grantees appropriately
  • Think creatively about the firm's assets and tools to drive impact, including across lines of business and Corporate Responsibility which could include communicating the firm's approach to financial health to multiple internal constituencies; working closely with communications teams and other internal partners to maximize coverage of and participation in events


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Have a strong understanding of financial stability, resiliency and wealth building strategies
  • Bachelor's degree desired, or comparable professional experience
  • Strong issue area expertise with significant experience working in or with nonprofit, government and/or philanthropic leaders
  • Five to eight years of relevant work experience in in a fast-paced environment in project management, philanthropy, government, or non-profit organization
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, and leadership skills, with the ability to be flexible and accelerate shared progress toward bold outcomes
  • Self-starter that works autonomously, takes initiative, and is results-oriented
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; meticulous attention to detail
  • Passion for Global Philanthropy's mission and commitment to pursuing racial equity
  • Strategic and critical thinking about program design and implementation
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills; ability to synthesize complex ideas and professional perspective to diverse audiences
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data into executive briefs, including PowerPoint decks
