Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to join our team. This pivotal role involves directing financial strategy, managing budgeting and forecasting, overseeing monthly close processes, and developing financial operations across our international entities. The successful candidate will report directly to the CFO and collaborate closely with senior management to drive the organization's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Leadership:
    • Collaborate with the CFO to direct and influence the financial strategy of the organization.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Own and manage the budgeting and forecasting processes.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports and projections to guide business planning.
  • Month-End Close Management:
    • Oversee the monthly close process conducted by our outsourced team.
    • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of financial statements.
  • Financial Operations Development:
    • Develop and enhance financial operations across the organization including AR & AP, including international entities.
    • Implement best practices and streamline processes to improve efficiency.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with various departments to support financial initiatives.
    • Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams.
  • Other Finance and Accounting Activities:
    • Participate in special projects as assigned.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial systems and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles.
    • Previous work experience with start-ups
    • Experience working with international entities is highly desirable.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulations.
    • Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
