Reporting to the SVP of Cross Media Measurement & Advanced Analytics, this role leads the high-performance team of data engineers, business intelligence engineers, and data scientists by overseeing data asset management, identity & audience graph, business intelligence tool development, data interoperability solution and analytics solution operation.
This role is expected to develop the tech stack to enable cross-media measurement, Linear & Digital forecasting, and advanced analytic solutions. The ED must have a rich understanding of the data management, data engineering and data science, knows the efficient approach to operationalize the data science and analytics models, and identifies new opportunities to equip business analytics and advanced analytics team to deliver actional business insights. The role must have training in data science and data engineering domain and have strong experience in working with product & engineering teams to ensure proper measurement across different measurement companies, identity management, and modernizing data infrastructure and data interoperability technology. The person must have experience in contract negotiation and data privacy compliance practice, along with a deep understanding of the media landscape and leading measurement solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Deliver new datasets and tech solutions through product, engineering, and governance to enable the business teams to more effectively and efficiently create new, different, and impactful data driven insights. The business will leverage these insights as a strategic business asset and driver of incremental revenue opportunities across TV network brands, which has the ability of influencing selling strategy and show pick-up decisions.
  • Lead and evaluate discussions and negotiations with 3rd party vendors, data governance, legal, and privacy to obtain new datasets to enable new and more impactful analytic capabilities for the Data Science teams.
  • Continuously drive toward efficiency by simplifying and automating where possible, eliminating redundancy and human error across the organization, refining data structures, and building data views as needed to support higher team productivity and provide better insights to identify revenue growth opportunities across brands. Assure quality and accuracy of deliverables through thorough interaction with product managers and engineers to understand and refine requirements and adherence to privacy, governance, and quantitative standards.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with business partners and peers across segments. This position needs to have a strong relationship with include product, project, and engineering teams to better understand data initiatives and capabilities across the company.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in media and advertising measurement including, but not limited to ad inventory forecasting, content measurement, audience measurement, and outcome-based measurement.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in measurement and data science methodologies. Advanced understanding of media currency and predictive modeling.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading a team directly and indirectly through a manager of managers relationship, as well as leading projects through influence.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team of data scientists, data analysts, and data engineers to create solutions rooted in business objectives.
  • Expert hands-on experience with public cloud service such as AWS, Azure, GCP and programming skills in Python, R and SQL.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to bridge between business, analytics, data, and technology functions. This role has high visibility to senior leadership with regular presentations of forecast results and methodology.

  • Demonstrates an effective consultative approach to build awareness on key organizational issues and consensus for relevant solutions; able to guide stakeholders to build commitment to drive org improvement and change.
  • A strategic thinker that has ability to thrive within ambiguity and drive complex projects.
  • Experience in building data interoperability solutions such as data clean room.
  • Direct involvement with senior business executives (e.g. EVP/SVP)


Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years' experience in Computer Science, Data Science or Information Technology, or similar experience.


Preferred Education:

  • Master's degree in quantitative field (i.e., Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering or Information Technology.


The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $253,100 to $339,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
