Key Accountabilities
The Events Director-Americas will oversee the development, planning, and execution of Brookfield-sponsored events and third-party conferences, both in person and virtual, aligned with strategic business and regional priorities to help build awareness, develop client relationships, retain and grow assets. This role is for someone who can take initiative and work collaboratively with the Head of Marketing for Americas, members of the Global Events team and local client relationship managers. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all events and conferences for the Americas region (US, Canada, Latin America), working closely with Americas’ Region Head, CRMs and Marketing lead

Oversee the region’s event plan and execution, field incoming event requests and track timing of key decision points -- lead the organization in the effective prioritization of opportunities

Develop high touch, creative and memorable event experiences that connect our audience to the Brookfield brand

Drive all aspects of event and conference execution from concept, production through event execution (venue & vendor research, budgets, timelines, invitation & website, audio-visual, catering, on-site logistics, etc), drawing on internal resources as needed

Develop and maintain industry conference vendor and partner relationships and identify opportunities for Brookfield sponsorship and speaker participation

Drive optimal use of event technology platforms for seamless client invitation and communication experience (Email, Invite, Websites, Webcast etc)

Collaborate and contribute to the successful execution of the Brookfield Investor Conference and other key GCG initiatives, as needed

Produce post-event analyses using survey metrics and feedback, and create post-event reports – communicate proactively to key stakeholders and executive management.
Candidate Profile:

A degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Events, or related field

8-10 years’ professional experience

Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels within the organization

Strong people manager, with ability to lead project team across functions
-
Ability to implement best practices and processes; organized with meticulous attention to detail

A strong passion for events

Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, multi-task and prioritize

Ability to keep calm and problem solve quickly under high pressure moments

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and event management tools (GlobalMeet, Cvent, etc)

Ability to travel to event sites and locations
Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education, and designations
