About the role:
As an Engineering Manager at January, you will play a crucial role in evolving our software from its initial focus on proving product-market fit to a more refined, optimized, and user-friendly version 2.0.
Your responsibilities will include:
Drive Borrower Portal Innovations: Lead efforts to enhance our borrower portal by improving performance, implementing front-end best practices, optimizing load times, streamlining user interfaces, and ensuring responsive design across devices. These improvements will provide a smoother user experience and empower borrowers to manage their debts more effectively.
Develop Custom Financial Solutions: Design personalized settlement solutions and adaptable payment plans tailored to individual borrower needs. This role requires innovative problem-solving to create financial relief efforts that are impactful and user-friendly.
Revamp Payment Processing: Oversee the upgrade of our payment infrastructure to improve reliability and performance. Address complex technical issues to ensure high system availability and seamless operations.

What You Bring to the Table:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with leadership or management experience.

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Go, etc.).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

A passion for collaboration and proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Full-stack experience is essential.
Our compensation range for this role is $200,000 to $250,000, determined by experience, education, and skills. This role also includes a competitive equity package.
