As a Vice President Electronic Trading Product Manager within JPM's Electronic Client Solutions (ECS), you will play a pivotal role in developing low-latency client connectivity solutions tailored for our systematic trading clients. Your focus will be on optimizing performance for quantitative strategies, in close collaboration with JPM's prime brokerage coverage and sales desks. Our electronic trading products are fully integrated with the firm's prime brokerage services, which include leveraged financing and securities lending.
In this client-facing role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with quantitative systematic hedge fund clients. You will be responsible to deliver customized electronic trading workflows, controls, and exchange co-location solutions, enabling clients to access JPM's market-leading ultra-low latency direct market access products.
Positioned on the equities electronic trading desk, you will oversee the daily operations of our Direct Market Access (DMA) business. This involves engaging with clients, exchanges, and alternative trading systems (ATSs), while collaborating closely with the firm's compliance and business control management teams to ensure adherence to control, risk management, and regulatory obligations.
Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and integration of JPM's proprietary Direct Market Access (DMA) software solutions with internal trading destinations, including ultra-low latency DMA products utilizing Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology, exchange-sponsored access solutions, and other liquidity-seeking offerings.
  • Manage JPM's exchange co-location presence and engineer custom client connectivity solutions within the co-location facilities.
  • Engage in the sales engineering process to collaborate with clients, identifying and quantifying their custom requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, including adherence to market access controls such as the 15c3-5 Market Access Rule and Regulation SHO.
  • Partner with technology teams to coordinate production releases, conduct post-release validation with clients, and oversee the go-live process for custom solutions and products.
  • Collaborate closely with production management, network engineers, and application development groups to troubleshoot product service outages and resolve issues with minimal adverse client impact.
  • Contribute to defining product strategy and guiding platform investment

  • Work directly with electronic trading technology and infrastructure teams to drive innovation and deploy solutions in our production environment.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Solid understanding of equities market structure and trading businesses.
  • Preferred educational background in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, with a general knowledge of systems and network technology.
  • Experience with latency-sensitive Direct Market Access (DMA) electronic trading systems, Smart Order Routing, and other liquidity access products.
  • Proficiency in programming with KDB for querying trade databases.
  • Basic experience with Python for generating reports to assess business performance and client experience.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, demanding environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
