The Role

ROLE SUMMARY
It is an exciting time to be in the North America Vaccines group with multiple product introductions. These new products expand our Pfizer portfolio beyond our traditional Prevnar and Trumenba brands to protect more babies, adolescents & adults as well as better meet customer needs.
Pfizer's pediatric pneumococcal next generation vaccine, Prevnar 20, was approved by the FDA in April 2023 and received its ACIP recommendation in June 2023. This vaccine expands serotype coverage to 20 and aims to further protect children from serious pneumococcal disease. This next generation vaccine represents a potential "blockbuster" for the U.S.
The Director, U.S. HCP Marketing Prevnar Pediatric is a mission critical role responsible for continued post-launch HCP strategy as well as timely and seamless execution by working with the cross-functional team and agencies. Reporting to the Senior Director, U.S. Prevnar 20 Pediatric, this important role will ensure that Pfizer can drive U.S. pediatric pneumococcal vaccination rates in the appropriate patient population while appropriately differentiating in a newly competitive market. The person in this role works extensively on a daily basis with the Prevnar Senior Director Team Lead, Prevnar HCP Director, HCP Senior Manager, HCP Secondee, and the Senior Director, Pediatric/Maternal Strategy.
This individual will span three business critical areas:

  • HCP Strategy & Execution: Development of post launch HCP strategies and tactics spanning digital omnichannel and efforts to drive pneumococcal disease awareness, appropriate brand differentiation and uptake of Prevnar 20 Pediatric.
  • Brand Field Force Liaison: Primary connector with the Vaccines Field Sales force. Responsibilities include being the brand liaison with the entire Sales team, Field Force performance assessment, insight development & reactionary Leadership.
  • Business Performance: In partnership with the Senior Director, Team Lead continuously monitor brand performance and communications (e.g. internal senior leadership and external reporting). Monitor brand KPIs and maintain brand dashboards (inc. sales targeting/frequency in partnership with Market Research & Commercial Excellence teams, etc.)


Given the dynamic nature of brand needs, this individual may be required to lead additional initiatives. Roles and responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
This role is a unique opportunity to demonstrate strong strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, analytics, as well as U.S. marketing/ business acumen, driven by strong understanding of functional areas of expertise and interdependencies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
HCP Strategy & Execution:

  • 2025 Tactical Plan Captain
  • Brand Review Committee (RC) Captain
  • Development of post launch HCP strategies and tactics for digital omnichannel
  • Partner with the Sr. Dir, Pediatric/Maternal Strategy to develop HCP strategies and tactics for initiatives to drive pneumococcal disease awareness, appropriate brand differentiation and uptake of Prevnar 20 Pediatric.
  • Partner with Senior Director, Prevnar Pediatric to maintain Pediatric targeting & segmentation strategy across all channels
  • Leadership of digital omnichannel strategy & content distribution including content calendar creation, alignment across brand and agencies, and integrating CMO best practices
  • Lead brand channel specific initiatives in partnership with cross functional teams


Brand Field Force Liaison:

  • Primary brand connection with the Vaccines Field Sales force.
  • Lead Field Force performance assessment, insight development & reactionary leadership
  • Lead sales training development
  • Identify new/innovate ways to execute CFC training (e.g., by Sales tenure, assessed capabilities, and market dynamics
  • Sales Communications - e.g., FAQ evolution, cross-brand alignment
  • Lead Sales Meeting content development in partnership with HCP Secondee (Lead)


Business Performance:
In partnership with the Senior Director, Team lead:

  • Continuously monitor brand KPIs and maintain brand dashboards (inc. sales targeting/frequency w/ Market Research & Commercial Excellence, etc.)


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Established business acumen and pharma industry/vaccines business knowledge
  • BA or BS
  • Minimum 10 years U.S. commercial/marketing experience
  • Demonstrated innovation champion; seeks learnings from other brands and other industries to innovate and enhance launch plans
  • Comfort with ambiguity, and complex "white space" environments
  • Demonstrated matrix leadership and ability to foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA, MPH or similar
  • VFC/Public business knowledge
  • Vaccines experience
  • Previous Marketing experience

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
