Dotdash Meredith, the largest digital and print publisher, is seeking a Director of Trade Marketing & Events to join the Advertising & Partnerships business and drive growth in the market.
Across its 42 brands, Dotdash Meredith creates the best content and experiences for nearly 200 million people a month. This new role will focus on developing relationships within the advertising community and creating the best experiences for Dotdash Meredith’s advertising and partnership clients.
This position is based in New York and is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About The Team:
The Advertising & Partnerships Marketing Organization focuses on defining and articulating Dotdash Meredith’s value in the market, increasing awareness and use of Dotdash Meredith’s broad portfolio (including brands: People, Food & Wine, Travel & Leisure, and technology: D/Cipher), and developing marketing strategies and programs to drive growth of Dotdash Meredith. Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Trade Marketing & Events will have an exciting opportunity to build high impact relationships and programs.
About The Position's Contributions:

Own and manage relationships with key advertising industry associations to drive awareness of and growth for Dotdash Meredith

Develop and execute on a proactive Advertising & Partnerships events plan, focused around industry tentpoles (CES, Cannes, Advertising week, etc), Dotdash Meredith brand moments, and client engagement opportunities

Craft and deliver premium programs to educate and enhance relationships with stakeholders (from buyers to leadership) across the Agency community

Collaborate with sales leadership to build an annual VIP Program to engage and drive growth among key accounts

Partner with the Events and Communications Team to manage and execute on key go-to-market moments and experiences for advertisers throughout the year
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
-
Earned degree in marketing, business or related fields preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
-
6+ years of experience in marketing and events, including developing programs and activations, defining success metrics, sharing out results, and using your findings to inform future planning.

Familiarity with the Media & Advertising landscape, trade associations, and annual tentpole events.

Experience working directly with sales teams and clients to create premium client experiences that foster relationships and drive business growth.

Experience managing a budget and external vendors as needed.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

Strong project management and production skills. You like managing multiple work streams and have fantastic attention to detail.

Clear and proactive communication style tailored to your audience, from clients to executives and written to verbal applications.

Proficient with marketing and event management tools and systems, and/or comfortable learning new ones.
