Position Overview:
Parallel Learning is seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Director of Sales to lead and scale our sales team. This executive leader will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders in school districts across the country. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams, navigating the education technology landscape, and driving enterprise-level sales.

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team to exceed targets and business objectives.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers in school districts, including superintendents, administrators, and special education directors.
  • Drive new business development while nurturing existing partnerships to maximize retention and growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, clinical, operations, and customer success teams to align sales strategies with company goals.
  • Create and lead engaging sales enablement sessions to equip the team with effective strategies, messaging, and best practices.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to refine sales tactics and value propositions.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics to ensure accountability and efficiency.
  • Influence and develop strong relationships with Parallel leadership 
  • Represent Parallel Learning at industry conferences, networking events, and other thought leadership opportunities.
  • Frequent travel required.
 

What you need: 

  • 5+ years of experience in education technology sales leadership roles, preferably within the special education space.
  • Demonstrated success in selling SaaS solutions or service-based models to K-12 school districts.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and scale a high-impact sales organization.
  • Strong network and established relationships within the education sector.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in CRM systems and sales analytics.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to improving student outcomes through innovative solutions.
