Outerspace provides dynamic services including, but not limited to, warehousing and fulfillment, customization and light manufacturing, and product photography.
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Marketing to join our growing Commercial team. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this new leader on the Commercial team will lead the vision and strategic execution of marketing activities for a rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate has experience building the fundamentals of marketing, works well under pressure, is an expert relationship manager, and drives innovation through visionary thinking.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy
- Develop marketing strategy to expose Outerspace brand to target markets for brand awareness and to generate sales leads.
- Create overarching marketing calendar across PR, events, content, advertising with actionable, measurable goals
- Lead Generation
- Work with sales to execute strategies driving sales leads:
- Activation events to engage target customers including coordination of sponsorships, development of materials, execution of events.
- Research and identify on-brand opportunities and manage brand initiatives, such as special projects, speaking events, sponsorship opportunities to meet brand objectives.
- Develop advertising campaigns with support from internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Drive content and PR for brand exposure.
- Create unique messaging to target brands for direct contact B2B opportunities.
- Assess each strategy against stated goals.
- Develop internal Outerspace and Client reporting of marketing activities.
- Content/Communication
- Manage communication and outreach via all channels (social, web, etc).
- Design and maintain communication strategy and content for all platforms while introducing new ones to drive website traffic, inquiries and brand awareness.
- Collaboratively develop white papers, press releases and editorial content for website and social.
- Manage website updates.
- Oversee continuity across all communication mediums.
- Client Communication
- Design and execute effective client communication and internal communication.
- Determine helpful content, frequency of communication, appropriate distribution levels.
- Source content and plan calendar.
- Branding
- Collaborate with VP of Brand for branding needs for all company initiatives including logos, branded products, templates, etc.
- Collaborate with VP of Brand to execute design and production of branded products and giveaways.
Qualifications:
- College degree.
- 5-7 years of Marketing experience, preferably B2B.
- Experience in developing and managing marketing plans.
- Experience managing external vendors, including PR firms and branding agencies.
- Experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics preferred, start up environment ideal.
- Experience utilizing social media, including campaigns.
- Demonstrated success in new customer acquisition.
- Possess strong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Willing to travel 15% of the time.
- Strong social media experience.
