ZS's Digital and Technology group is poised for significant growth over the next decade and currently projected as the highest growth vector within the firm. This group will have the support of the executive leadership team in the form of investments, autonomy, and mindshare to ensure it is successful. The group will invest in a new set of offerings, driving end to end Digital Transformation that integrate a combination of services, including digital strategy, Human-centered design, exploiting emerging technologies, and purposeful change management. Given ZS' existing footprint at almost all major life sciences companies, the demand for these service offerings is already prevalent and ready for the right leaders to pursue and capitalize upon. Our teams work with the most market-leading technologies and techniques to create digital products, enterprise solutions, and differentiated business advantage. Our team provides a complete spectrum of technology solutions, from strategy and roadmap definition to full-scale implementation and ongoing operations and our principals and associate principals will lead the orchestration and delivery of this impact. In addition, our leaders work with teams in a global capacity with tight partnerships across geographies to bring efficient scale and resilient support.
Practice Lead, Digital Strategy & Advisory
The Digital Strategy and Advisory Practice Lead (Principal) role at ZS is a critical role in driving our Technology Vector growth strategy. This role will require driving digital strategy and advisory services. The primary focus for this role will be on clients' leaders such as the CIO, CTO, & CDO of our client organization and their respective teams.
The role has a dual focus:
(a) increasing the mind-share quotient of ZS Technology expertise with senior leadership across our existing clients, new clients, and prospects and
(b) building teams with knowledge assets, solutions, services that deliver advisory services to clients.
The client base will initially start with healthcare clients but can expand to be a cross-industry role to the extent viable. Success criteria for this role include but is not limited to, expanding ZS' access to our client's leadership responsible for setting strategic direction and agenda for their organization; getting ZS invited to participate in the transformation programs aligned with ZS' strategy; build a strong performing team that drives impact for our clients through objective, value-creating and value sustaining advisory services.
What You Will Do:

  • Client-Building
    • Lead advisory efforts working closely with our client business development and delivery engagements in the Life Sciences Industry,
    • Consistently deliver high impact and high value client services.
    • Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
    • Lead with current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
  • Team/Practice-Building
    • Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
    • Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members.
    • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
    • Play an active role in counseling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization.


Whatr You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business or Life Sciences.
  • MBA or Advanced Degree is highly desirable.
  • 15+ years' experience in life science industry management consulting.
  • 7+ years' experience in a leadership role within a professional service firm.
  • Demonstrate deep healthcare and life sciences industry sector knowledge with a functional expertise across operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving agenda setting services at the "C" level of Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies.C-Suite executive-level presence and communication. Prior experience in technology led transformation programs.
  • Strong credentials and demonstrated success in IT strategy and Enterprise Architecture.
  • Prior experience in Cloud data strategy and AI infusion.
  • A forward thinker and self-starter that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge.
  • Ability to lead a virtual team of consulting professionals across multiple projects.
  • A high level of motivation and self-starting attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs.
