We’re looking for someone to join our Global Brand & Creative Solutions team and help our top advertisers in Emerging (Auto, Restaurants, Tech/Telco, Entertainment, Travel and Financial Services) create world-class content experiences on Pinterest. You’ll have the opportunity to lead a cohort of critical strategic clients who set the bar for strategy, creative, and product innovation on Pinterest. You’ll partner with fellow creative strategists and xfn partners to solve marketing challenges across a variety of objectives and business models. You’ll help advertisers develop full-funnel content strategies and creative that drive performance and partnership growth. 

You’ll be a top-notch creative, strategic thinker, collaborator and leader to help brands achieve business performance and do things never before done.

The company strategy is evolving and there is continued focus on increasing market share and driving the adoption of its highest priority advertising solutions across regions and verticals. As part of Global Brand & Creative Solutions, the US Emerging Creative Strategy team is looking to provide more targeted 1:1 partnership support for advertisers for every industry of the sector to drive brand innovation and partnership growth. 

As a Creative Strategy Lead, you’ll own 1:1 Partnership Support for our top advertisers in the sector. This position involves driving strategic growth for high-value creative pitches, leading the development and implementation of business case assessments, scope and workflow models, and at-scale creative strategies for our highest priority clients. In this role, you will also contribute to team and cross-functional company initiatives that support creative innovation, product testing/adoption, and winning sales strategies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including fellow creative strategists, producers, program managers, sales teams and more to support and grow advertisers.   

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, US Emerging Creative Strategy, this role requires a collaborative, strategic, creative, and team-building leader with deep full-funnel advertising industry expertise, who can operate at the intersection of creative, strategy, ad tech, and client management.

What you'll do:

  • Strategic Advertiser Leadership 
    • Independently manage cohort of high-priority advertisers, leveraging subject matter expertise to identify actionable creative strategies that drive incremental and long-term partnership growth.
    • Independently apply understanding of evolving business environment, developing proactive brand solutions to sales teams that target advertiser objectives, challenges, or industry headwinds.
  • Brand & Creative Solutions Development
    • Develop full-funnel creative content experiences that migrate Pinners through the purchase journey, targeting both short-term seasonal or brand moments and augmenting at-scale lower-funnel shopping content. 
    • Establish a deep understanding of the evolving Pinterest product, consistently apply learnings to develop cutting-edge creative solutions that drive innovative applications of our product to support advertiser goals.
  • Stakeholder & Scope Management
    • Identify and engage with key internal and external stakeholders, independently develop and present clear solutions to senior clients or internal executives. Build scope & workflow strategy to manage high-priority advertisers with a focus on prioritization, team collaboration, and scaling the impact of your available and often limited resources. 
    • Work autonomously with cross functional teams like Sales, Measurement, Marketing, Content and Insights to drive creative effectiveness for individual advertisers and within broad go-to-market programs.


What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of digital marketing and content development experience at an agency, platform, or brand with advertising-based business models. 
  • Possess a strong understanding of full-funnel advertising strategies and digital consumer paths to purchase. Experience developing, executing and iterating on cross-platform creative strategies that build brand love, engage consumers, and drive clicks/purchase. 
  • Proven track record independently leading initiatives as an individual contributor while also managing complex clients and briefs, managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring teams deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Someone who can engage a room of senior-level brand and agency representatives, fielding live questions and feedback as a representative of Pinterest, the most positive corner of the internet.
  • Demonstrated success in winning high-value pitches to C-suite clients, with proven ability to independently develop visual communication via compelling pitch collateral/decks and thoughtful insights-led storytelling. Expert at translating strategic insights into visually striking presentations that resonate with executive decision-makers while maintaining alignment with brand objectives and performance metrics. Skilled at building digital strategies and creative ideas from the abstract stage of ideation to tangible proofs of concept/mocks.
  • Creative versatility to conceptualize and build compelling work independently, with a portfolio showcasing hands-on execution across multiple formats and platforms. Proven ability to both strategize and deliver polished creative assets under tight timelines without relying on additional production resources.
  • Someone with a skills-building mindset who can onboard into a major platform, attain proficiency of products, ad formats, and performance strategies. Open to honing strategy or creative execution skills inclusive of learning new software. 
  • Experience building collaborative relationships with multiple internal stakeholders and leading with a team-player mentality. 
  • Candidates with a breadth and diversity of experiences, educational backgrounds, and perspectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as advertising or equivalent experience.

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from the Pinterest San Francisco or NYC office.
