Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Analyst or Associate to join our award-winning Investor Relations team, where your analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills will make a real impact.
As an Investor Relations Analyst or Associate, you will support the development and execution of our communication with investors and other external stakeholders, shaping their perception of the Firm. This analytical role also requires you to perform detailed analysis, synthesize insights and effectively communicate your findings both internally and externally. You will collaborate with teams across the Firm to create compelling presentations and materials that showcase the Firm's strong performance, operating discipline and unparalleled growth potential. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior management, providing them with strategic insights and analysis derived from our relationships with investors and sell-side analysts.
Job responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of the quarterly earnings materials, including presentations, press releases and Q&A briefs, as well as materials for conference presentations and various projects for senior management
- Create presentations on the Firm's results and strategy for our annual Investor Day. Additionally, create presentations for the Head of Investor Relations or the CFO to present to audiences across the bank
- Collect, analyze and synthesize insights from our discussions with external stakeholders, internal contacts, research reports and news articles. Communicate these insights to senior management through briefings, internal newsletters and videos in order to inform their strategic decision making
- Stay up-to-date on industry news and trends, competitor performance, and other items relevant to investors
- Help prepare materials and briefing documents for Operating Committee members and other members of senior management, ensuring they are informed for investor meetings, roadshows and conferences
- Review and analyze sell-side analyst models and research reports to (i) evaluate external forecasts of the Firm's performance and to (ii) synthesize insights for senior management
- Effectively communicate with investors and other external stakeholders, ensuring you clearly articulate the Firm's performance and strategy. Leverage these interactions to build strong relationships
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- 3+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Management/Internal Consulting and/or Corporate Finance preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Able to create high-quality presentations on strategic and/or financial matters
- Able to think strategically and analytically, and to review and synthesize information and form independent judgements
- Interested in the financial sector; understands bank financial statements, performance indicators and valuation
- Experience with financial modeling, analytical/quantitative work, Excel, corporate finance and accounting
- Demonstrated project management and multi-tasking skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to work effectively with senior management
