This role is vital to maintaining the financial health and integrity of our company. As the Controller, you will take a hands-on approach, directly overseeing accounting strategies and executing all related processes, including month-end and year-end close. You will ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, perform financial and business analyses, develop and report
KPIs, and provide actionable insights to support our company’s objectives. This position reports to the CFO.

*Key Responsibilities:*

- Conduct and manage day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, intercompany accounting, and cash application, while developing and driving process improvements in finance and accounting.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of month-end and year-end close processes, including the consolidation of an affiliated entity in foreign currency, and the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages.
- Lead the preparation and execution of annual audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all countries.
- Lead and oversee all tax filing processes, partnering with tax advisors and utilizing tools (e.g., AvaTax) to ensure accurate and timely filings for income tax, sales and use tax, transfer pricing tax, franchise tax, and other related taxes.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements by owning and managing accounting and reporting policies, processes, and internal controls.
- Maintain proficiency and accuracy in the accounting system (Netsuite) with full ownership.
- Support CFO and senior leadership team in business planning, budgeting and forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Train and mentor a small team of finance professionals.
- Assist CFO/CEO in due diligence and corporate projects as needed.
- Provide insights and recommendations on financial and other business metrics.

*Key Skills and Experience:*

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 7+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities in finance and accounting roles.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading annual audits.
- Advanced competency in accounting software systems and tools, with exceptional Excel skill.
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining complex financial models in Excel is highly desired.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP with strong hands-on technical accounting skills.
- Proven experience managing accounting activities and financial books for a multinational company.
- Thrive in a small, multinational company environment by effectively managing and coaching a team.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and a continuous improvement mindset are a must.
- In-depth knowledge of various taxes, including income taxes, sales taxes, franchise taxes, and transfer pricing taxes.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Active CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not mandatory.

*Additional Qualifications:*

- 2+ years of Netsuite experience is strongly desired.
- 2+ years of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience, including creating and maintaining financial models using Excel and other tools.
- 1+ year of experience with Avalara is a plus.
- Experience in Adtech, MarTech, or software companies is a plus.
- Experience in process improvement and software integration is a plus.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving
