About the Opportunity 

The Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation (the “Foundation”) is seeking a Contracts Manager to join our staff. The Contracts Manager oversees the entire contracting process from inception to execution for all initiatives and departments at the Foundation. Reporting into the Associate General Counsel, this position will be responsible for intaking and providing substantive review of all contracts across the Foundation. The Contracts Manager will also be responsible for maintaining a contracts management system and recording keeping system for all contracts. In this role, the Contracts Manager will track and report on contract-related metrics, review and analyze contract requests, and assist with internal and external audit requests. The Contracts Manager will create and provide training to Foundation colleagues around contracts policies, procedures, and processes as well as risk management with regards to contracts.  

The Contracts Manager will collaborate day-to-day with staff across the Foundation on their contract or legal document needs, which includes working directly with the Foundation’s General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, and Legal’s vetting staff. Interface with Finance is an additional key component: The Contracts Manager will flag financial, insurance, and tax documents as needed (as they relate to expense side agreements on a case-by-case basis). A successful Contracts Manager will be technologically savvy, have a general understanding of legal risk and contract terms, and be excited to contribute to the mission of the Foundation by providing exceptional support to colleagues across the organization. They will have a service orientation, be detail oriented and able to manage several projects at a time.

This role is expected to work out of our NYC office three times per week. 

Core Responsibilities  

  • Oversee contracts management process including creation of templates, both administrative and substantive review and coordination of edits and signatures. This includes assessment and oversight of contract management tools including technology. Interface with finance department around required documentation and notifications.
  • Select and implement (if necessary) and provide oversight of contracts management system including being key administrator of system, training others on technology, introducing relevant efficiencies, running reports, organizing and uploading finalized contracts. 
  • Other compliance related duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications  

What we’re looking for: 

  • Associate's Degree
  • Preferred: 5 years administrative experience in a legal environment with contracting experience.
  • General political knowledge and exposure, especially of the Clinton administration and of the Clinton family.
  • Understanding of contracts management systems, general understanding and comfort with opining on legal risk particularly in transactional settings.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting while upholding high standards of accuracy. 

Compensation & Benefits 

Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $80 - 85K annually, depending on the experience you bring. This role is not eligible for overtime pay. This range is based on NYC market rates and may be adjusted if you will be working remotely.  We look forward to discussing our compensation pricing strategy, and your expectations, throughout the interview process.
