As the Content Marketing Manager at Summer, you will be the driving force behind our B2B and B2B2C content strategy, creating compelling narratives that generate qualified leads and reinforce Summer's brand positioning. With a knack for translating complex financial concepts into engaging stories, you will craft best-in-class content across multiple channels, from thought leadership pieces and sales enablement collateral to website copy and end-user communications.

We are seeking an experienced content marketer with 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in the financial wellbeing or fintech space. You will thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment, collaborating cross-functionally to develop impactful campaigns tailored to our buyer personas and their respective position in the customer lifecycle. This role will report directly to the Director of Marketing.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with our business objectives and buyer journeys.
  • Create high-quality content across various formats (blogs, whitepapers, case studies, email campaigns, one pagers etc.) that resonates with our target audiences.
  • Manage the content creation process, including ideation, writing, editing, and publishing, ensuring a consistent brand voice and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and leverage their domain knowledge to produce authoritative, thought-provoking content.
  • Measure and analyze content performance metrics (e.g. lead generation) and optimize strategies accordingly.
  • Oversee the content calendar and ensure a steady flow of fresh, relevant content across all channels.
  • Contribute to the development of end-user content for our B2B2C platform, ensuring a seamless brand expc erience.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful content marketing strategies that drive lead generation and engagement.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with SEO best practices, content optimization, and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Braze).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Passion for Summer's mission of helping student loan borrowers navigate their debt journey.

The base salary for this role is likely to fall between $70,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience, and will include equity and a full range of benefits.
