Consumer Packaged Goods Intern

Schrödinger seeks a Consumer Packaged Goods Intern to help us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.

As a member of the Materials Science team, you’ll play a crucial role in executing two important projects in consumer packaged goods: one in molecular dynamics (MD) simulation of polymer dissolution, and another in the investigation of food formulations using MARTINI coarse-grained MD simulations.

What you’ll do:

• Construct detailed atomistic models of sustainable packaging materials and food formulations
• Conduct advanced multiscale MD simulations
• Analyze simulation data to extract critical information such as hydrogen bonding, diffusion coefficients, morphology information, and viscosity
• Construct CG force fields parameters for the complex formulation of protein, fats, and carbohydrates
• Contribute to reports, presentations, and potential publications summarizing research findings 

What you’ll need:

• An ongoing or completed PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field

Estimated base salary: $7,500/mo. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
