We are seeking a skilled on-call Psychiatrist to join our team and provide exceptional mental health care to patients. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating/prescribing, and managing the mental health conditions for a pediatric population at a children’s hospital located in the Philadelphia area.
- Expected on-call hours:
- Monday through Thursday, 12am-8am ET
- Friday at 8pm through Monday at 7pm ET
- Role location:
- with the ability to be on-site for on-call responsibilities as appropriate (ie: in emergent situations that call for on-site presence). Site locations are in both Philadelphia, PA and King of Prussia, PA
- Patient population:
- Pediatrics at a children’s hospital
- Required licenses:
- Pennsylvania required. A New Jersey license is a plus
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health conditions
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Prescribe and monitor psychopharmacological medications to manage symptoms
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients
- Utilize crisis management techniques when necessary to address acute mental health issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Know and understand relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in order to ensure compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Doctorate Medicine of Osteopathic Medicine required
- Experienced in both medication management as well as therapy for child and adolescent populations
- Medical License to practice in the state of New Jersey
