How you'll make an impact:
In this role, you will harness the power of data to deliver strategic insights and actionable recommendations that drive the business forward. You will use your analytical skills and strategic thinking to help the business grow and improve processes. You will work with various teams, analyze data, and communicate clearly with stakeholders to boost the company's value.
As a Strategic Business Intelligence Consultant, you'll gain exposure to multiple facets of the business, focusing on our highest-priority initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics at Boomi.
What you’ll do:

Partner with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements for analyses, develop and manage project plans to conduct these analyses, and communicate progress and findings

Gather and analyze data from various sources (internal systems, external data, market research) and conduct statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and insights leading to business opportunities and strategic recommendations

Create reports and visualizations that convey clear messages to a diverse audience utilizing the recurring revenue reporting tool (Maxio), R, SQL, Power BI, etc

Distill complex analyses to clear and impactful audience-targeted presentations with key findings and recommendations. Create dashboards to support ongoing strategic decision-making

Share knowledge throughout the organization through technical and non-technical reports and documentation

Troubleshoot issues with standard reports and collaborate closely with stakeholders on reporting difficulties, partnering with IT on rules for data preparation, cleansing, and reporting tools to meet business needs and encourage best practices

Analyze and evaluate current business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Measure and track the impact of process improvements on key performance indicators (KPIs)
The Experience you bring:

BA/BS degree and 8+ years of experience in business analytics, management consulting, or corporate strategy roles preferably within the SaaS or technology industry

Deep proficiency in using SQL for querying databases and R for statistics and data analysis
-
Well-developed proficiency with data visualization to tell compelling stories that clearly and persuasively communicate strategic insights

Excellent cross-functional project management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to create strategic project plans, track progress, and meet deadlines

Ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed, remote work organization
Key Competencies:

Strategic mindset and the ability to derive meaningful data-driven insights that lead to business success

Ability to translate data into effective stories for both executives or technical stakeholders

Expertise in approaching complex problems in a structured, logical manner

Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders

Well-developed technical skills (SQL, R, statistical methods)
Bonus points if you have:

Experience with high-growth companies in the B2B Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) industries and their business metrics

Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce and CPQ

Experience building and managing Power BI dashboards

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation for this position in the US ranges between $115,452 - $173,178 annually + applicable bonus.
