What You Will Achieve
This is a laboratory-based position within the Vaccine Research and Development - Analytical Development group. The candidate contributes to the development of robust analytical assays to support early vaccine development for a range of moieties including proteins, mRNA, and glycoconjugates. Assays include but are not limited to cell-based assays such as flow cytometry, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs), and immunofluorescence. In addition, the candidate provides analytical support for bioprocess and formulation development through characterization testing of preclinical products.
Your strong foundation in general scientific practice, principles, and concepts will help in meeting critical deadlines. You will be relied on as a technical contributor to assess the assigned tasks and make decisions that involve direct application of your knowledge.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Provide lab-based assay development support for cell-based techniques .
  • Analyze data using appropriate statistics, where needed.
  • Perform sample testing for process development, formulation development, critical reagent characterization, and stability studies.
  • Document experiments, analyze data, and provide conclusions obtained from experiments using electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Contribute to authoring technical documents including development reports, analytical test methods, and method qualification reports.
  • Read scientific and technical literature to stay current in the field and to bring novel or improved technologies to the laboratory. Provide daily laboratory operations support.


Qualifications
Must-Have

  • BS or BA degree in biology or related discipline with 0- 2 years relevant experience.
  • Prior research experience working with cell culture and a strong background in biochemical and molecular techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with personal computers including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software is required.


Nice-to-Have

  • Previous experience with cell transfection and Flow Cytometry platforms in a BSL2 environment.
  • Experience with ELISA, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry.
  • Experience with documentation using electronic laboratory notebooks.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $54,700.00 to $91,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
