Join our dynamic Investments Business Management team to support the Latin America and Global Families Group Head of Investments. We seek a motivated professional with industry experience or a project management/consulting background, who thrives in a multicultural environment. As a key player, you will drive strategic initiatives and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the US and International Private Bank. This role offers impactful work, a collaborative environment, and growth opportunities.
As an Associate within the Latin America and Global Families Group Investments Business Management Team, you will collaborate with the Latin America Head of Investments and the Head of the Global Families Group, which includes Europe, Asia, and Canada. Your role will involve promoting key initiatives and business priorities across international regions. You will act as a trusted advisor and Chief Operating Officer to regional and market front office leadership teams, identifying and executing business priorities in coordination with functional partners. Your responsibilities will also include effective communication with leadership teams, representing the front office in working groups, and strategically presenting complex matters. You will also proactively identify business risks, support audit and compliance deliverables, and participate in initiatives to improve business processes. Lastly, you will assist the Front office in daily approvals and monitoring processes.
Our team acts as trusted advisor and COO to regional and market front office leadership teams, you will identify and execute business priorities in coordination with functional partners. You will communicate effectively with leadership teams, represent the front office in working groups, and present complex matter strategically. Additionally, you will proactively identify business risks, support audit and compliance deliverables, and participate in initiatives to improve business processes. Finally, you will support the Front office in day-to-day approvals and monitoring processes.
Job responsibilities :

  1. Drive Business Priorities: Communicate effectively with Latin America and Global Families Group leadership teams to identify, present, and drive business priorities and expected deliverables.
  2. Lead Complex Projects: Manage and steer complex topics using project management skills, leading meetings with subject matter experts and functional partners.
  3. Deliver Impactful Presentations: Create and deliver compelling presentations for leadership meetings, committees, forums, and front office regional and market huddles.
  4. Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, leveraging your influence to navigate the organization and implement business priorities.
  5. Be the Voice of Investments: Gain a deep understanding of the Investments business and represent its interests in working group sessions.
  6. Represent Front Office Interests: Be the voice of the front office in senior functional partner meetings, ensuring the business's voice is heard and prioritized.
  7. Enhance Business Processes: Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global teams, continually seeking ways to simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes.
  8. Mitigate Business Risks: Proactively identify business risks in partnership with Controls, enhancing the overall control framework for the Investments business.
  9. Ensure Compliance: Support audit, regulatory, and compliance deliverables by driving specific action plans and ensuring timely completion.
  10. Respond to Ad-hoc Advisors asks and Run monitoring process: Provide a high level of responsiveness to Front office ad-hoc requests related to approval and run monitoring process in partnership with our Offshore colleagues
  11. Maintain Resources: Collect and maintain internal resources and documentation on collaboration sites such as SharePoint.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree
  2. Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the private banking/investment industry, business management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of business development, sales management, and business planning.
  3. Project Management and Presentation Skills: Proven experience managing and steering complex projects end-to-end, with the ability to lead meetings with subject matter experts and functional partners. Demonstrated ability to create and deliver compelling, high-quality presentations and reports for leadership meetings, committees, and other key gatherings; attention to detail and design excellence is a must.
  4. Communication and Relationship Building: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to senior leadership and stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
  5. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify business risks and enhance the control framework.
  6. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and experience using collaboration tools such as SharePoint; strong interest for Automation and AI
  7. Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with audit, regulatory, and compliance requirements, with experience in driving specific action plans and ensuring timely completion.
  8. Self-Motivation and Leadership: Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with a high degree of independence; capable of exercising forceful, yet sensible leadership and willing to make tough/unpopular decisions.
  9. Time Management and Responsiveness: Strong time management and prioritization skills, with a high level of responsiveness to day-to-day tasks and executive ad-hoc requests.
  10. Team Collaboration and Multicultural Experience: Experience in participating in collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, continually seeking ways to simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes. Experience working in a multicultural environment, with the ability to navigate and influence within a diverse organizational structure.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Language proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
  • Professional certification / license is also a plus
  • Experience with business intelligence and data analytics tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik Sense) and with Python or AI tool
