Dotdash Meredith is looking for an Associate Commerce Editor on Parents to write, update, and edit parenting product roundups and reviews. The ideal candidate is a digitally savvy editor who is equally passionate about researching products for the health and well-being of babies, children, and their parents, and creating engaging editorial content. As an Associate Commerce Editor on Parents, you’ll be responsible for writing new articles, updating existing content with fresh data or new product releases, and editing content from our network of freelancers and in-house writers as needed.
This role reports to the Senior Commerce Editor on Parents and requires both analytical and editorial skills to provide readers with trusted recommendations tailored to their budgets and needs. Your contributions will support guidelines for commerce content standards, ensuring that our articles are accurate, inclusive, comprehensive, and accessible.

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
-
2+ years writing and editing experience at an online publisher, ideally in the parenting space (commerce experience strongly preferred).

Experience with SEO best practices and tools and how they relate to content

Experience working an in workflow tool (such as Airtable) preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

Strong copywriter, capable of writing engaging, lively headlines and blurbs, all the while keeping the voice of Parents, values, style, and audience in mind

Ability to explain complex parenting, health, and wellness topics in an informed yet accessible tone.

Detail-oriented and deadline-focused with solid writing skills, editing experience, and a deep understanding of what works online

A personal interest in all things parenting, health, and wellness, an eye for products, and the know-how to provide the reader with different options that suit their needs

Open to new challenges and excited to grow within a fast-paced, expanding, and constantly evolving organization

Proven aptitude for communicating and collaborating with both remote editorial workers and in-house editorial team members
