Job Description
Within Asset Management (AM), the Global Product Strategy and Development team helps to manage and position AM's global investment product suite. As part of this broader group, Product Strategy is responsible for providing timely competitive intelligence on flows, asset growth, product innovation and investment performance in order to uncover opportunities as well as inform and support the firm's strategic agenda. The team works with product development, distribution, investment and marketing teams to position and differentiate AM's investment product range in a way that aligns with market events and resonates with clients.
Job summary:
As a Product Strategy Alternatives - Vice President within the Product Strategy group, you will report directly to the Head of Americas Product Strategy. You will have a focus on the alternatives business and involve leading key strategic product-related initiatives for U.S. domiciled strategies in this space with an opportunity to also support other asset classes. You will collaborate with alternatives investment teams and both institutional and retail client teams understanding the competitive landscape and providing insights. This role requires strong leadership skills as you will be engaging with senior leaders and influencing strategic direction.
Job responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong proficiency in the JPMAM product range, competitors, and industry trends
  • Interface with alternatives investment teams, client advisors and product development to drive product innovation
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops to identify and develop business cases for new product ideas
  • Collaborate with marketing and training teams to drive clear product messaging, develop value propositions and communications of our product range
  • Contribute to new product initiatives such as fund launches, product design, pricing, competitive analysis, preparation of materials for governance forums
  • Present at training meetings and internal conferences with distribution and investment teams about the competitive landscape and industry trends
  • Contribute to and/or lead the development of presentations and analysis for senior management


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Significant experience in alternatives within the asset management industry
  • Particular expertise in the product strategy, product development and delivery of alternatives investment management products for institutional and retail channels
  • Knowledge of various alternatives structures (e.g. private placement funds, interval funds, BDCs, non-traded REITs)
  • Ability to influence and project manage across stakeholders and disciplines to discuss and facilitate the delivery of projects
  • Strong analytical, communication, project management and cross-organization collaboration skills


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • CFA, CAIA is a plus
