About Derivative Path

Derivative Path (“DP”) is a private equity backed, technology focused capital markets and risk management firm that offers a best-in-class, end-user focused derivatives platform (“DerivativeEDGE” or “EDGE”) which clients can use independently for all interest rate and FX derivatives needs, front-office through back-office.  We then support the technology offering with a full suite of risk solutions, execution, and support services provided by experienced capital markets professionals. We have four offices in two countries and nearly 200 clients.
Responsibilities

  • Function as an integral part of providing risk solutions services, transaction execution services, and general client coverage support to private equity, corporate, and other non-bank end user clients.
  • Provide input and generate ideas for new and enhanced functionality within EDGE that will be beneficial to DP and its clients
  • Assist in all aspects of client coverage including risk identification and analysis, hedge strategy generation, pricing and analytics, trade execution, ongoing hedge portfolio maintenance and reporting needs, etc.
  • Directly interact with clients to discuss the risks at play, potential hedging solutions, hedge outcomes, etc.
  • Prepare client marketing materials, market updates, educational materials, etc.
  • Lead internal and pre-trade / post-trade processes such as client onboarding, documentation, confirmations, valuations, etc.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to senior members of the Risk Solutions group and other team members across the firm.
  • Work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, dynamic work environment; can manage multiple competing priorities.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Finance, Economics or related quantitative field.
  • Must have graduated with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and any amount of experience working with a Bulge Bracket Bank or Private Equity Firm.
  • Qualified candidate will possess any amount of experience with or demonstrated knowledge of: 
    • Analyzing and pricing interest rate, foreign exchange, and/or cross-currency derivatives
    • Conducting capital market and/or company background research for the purposes of evaluating derivatives or other financial product trading strategies
    • Presentation and pitching of derivatives or other financial product trading strategies to Private Equity or equivalent institutional investor clients
    • Written communication on derivatives, capital markets, or other financial market update and analysis to Private Equity or equivalent institutional investor clients
    • Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
    • Bloomberg or other derivatives pricing systems
  • Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience.

The expected salary for this position ranges from $85,301 - $100,000. When determining your pay, we will take into account your skills, experience, and location.
