About The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements
The Analyst, Revenue Strategy will provide key support to the Enterprise DDM and Agency Sales Team. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering daily/weekly reporting, pacing, forecasting, and general revenue trends that then are shared to the larger team as well as the Senior Management Team.
- Assisting in annual strategy planning and goal setting to ensure the sales team is set up for success, between account allocation, regional alignment, and realistic revenue expectations.
- Conducting on-going RFP analysis for all advertisers within a designated sales vertical for the purposes of understanding the changing needs of our clients and the various solutions Dotdash Meredith proposes. This includes RFP volume/revenue/frequency trends, pipeline management, time lag/seasonality analysis, as well as analysis of advertiser needs (e.g. ad product/data solutions, site alignments, campaign objectives/KPIs, etc.)
- Instituting and maintaining enhanced methodologies for tracking qualitative data on why deals are won or lost. Lead overarching win-rate and sell-thru analytics to quantify and inform strategies of determining which ad solutions give Dotdash Meredith the highest likelihood of closing deals.
- Supporting weekly/bi-weekly/monthly Enterprise Sales and General Manager revenue projection reporting needs, inclusive of breakdowns by site, advertiser, and transaction channel.
- Partnering with the digital sales systems team to build out reporting capabilities including dashboards, daily snapshots, data visualization tools, while also ensuring data validation steps are in place.
- Building templates, dashboards, and reporting that will enable the larger Revenue Strategy team to consolidate sales team performance and revenue outlook into one macro view
- Providing continual competitive and marketplace analysis, inclusive of syndicated data sources, to identify gaps and opportunities to increase revenue market share, and create sales enablement opportunities.
This position is hybrid in the NYC-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

The Revenue Strategy team is made up of eleven people across NYC, DSM, and Remote. We like to take data and tell a story, and we like to help Sales Leadership tell their revenue story. We’re the team that the company relies on to keep us honest and tell the truth about our revenue outlook, all while having some fun on the way.

- 20% RFP analysis for all advertisers within a designated sales vertical (FP volume/revenue/frequency trends, pipeline management etc)
- 10% Assist in annual strategy planning and goal setting
- 10% Continual competitive and marketplace analysis
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience required.
Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in an analytics or role within digital advertising, media, marketing, finance, or ad tech.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
- Understanding of data and mechanisms through which data is collected and shared
- Excellent analytical skills – Expertise in Excel & pivot tables
- Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM tools and related sales systems (Boostr, GAM, Operative, etc.)
- Familiarity using data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Sisense, etc. is a plus
- Comfortability with g–suite (gmail, sheets, slides, etc.)
- Passion for analyzing data and telling a holistic story for internal stakeholders
- Ability to understand business data needs and translating into reporting requirements in a fast paced environment
- Capable of identifying opportunities to streamline and develop efficiencies to current process
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
