The Role: Senior Product Manager - AI/ML

Rue Gilt Groupe is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our AI/ML team. We are a leading off-price ecommerce portfolio company that connects the next-generation shopper to world-class brands. Having established two brands, Rue La La and Gilt, that inspire confidence in 30M+ users, we are now investing deeper into our AI powered product to turn our customers into avid shoppers. 

We are looking for a Senior AI Product Manager to enhance our existing member experience  encompassing home page personalization, search, product list page sorting, and recommendations.  

This role requires a customer-first, self-starter attitude paired with a strong data-driven mindset and excellent leadership skills. You will be expected to lead and collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists, software engineers, UX design, project management, marketing, and merchandising.

Responsibilities:

  • Define product strategy | You will set and drive the strategic direction of Rue and Gilt’s e-commerce platform, driving a compelling vision and leading a cross-functional team to execute iteratively.
  • Innovate | Work on challenging projects involving Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, computer vision, recommender systems, advanced statistical prediction models, and other AI technologies to drive revenue and enhance personalized shopping experiences of our 30M+ members. 
  • Develop your own roadmap | You will own parts of the product roadmap for key strategic initiatives that transform RGG’s shopping experience and create new ways to make shopping an occasion to celebrate. You will set up your engineering team to efficiently launch products and features, by removing the things that get in their way. You live and breathe prioritization.
  • Ownership | What you build is what you’re responsible for—and you love that kind of responsibility! You will give direct feedback on your product by being hands-on, using the product, and testing early features. 
  • Collaborate | You will partner with different technology teams, as well as with stakeholders in marketing and merchandising, etc. to ensure successful end-to-end execution of your product vision
  • Move the company forward | You navigate tradeoffs to enable our core platform to scale order volume, delight millions of customers, and support our developers to innovate more quickly.
  • Bring product ideas to life | You will write user stories, gather product requirements, and manage product execution.

  • 5+ years’ experience in product management at an e-commerce company
  • Experience working with AI/ML or Data Science teams. Adept at translating business asks into technical requirements. 
  • Experience in driving business impact with new products with a user-first mentality. Proven track record of ideating, building, and shipping high-impact products and features in an agile environment. 
  • You make data-driven decisions and have a test-and-learn mindset
  • Detail oriented, strategic thinker who can see the big picture and distill it into actionable tasks. You are comfortable discussing strategy and long-term vision with our executive team, but also able to dive into the details designing a particular product feature that will make shopping at RGG an overall greater experience. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication 

Expected Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $170,000

Rue Gilt Groupe is committed to providing Associates with equal pay for equal work and carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, certification(s), license(s), skills and expertise, location,  internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Our goal is to support, reward and compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, stock options, 401(k) participation, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
