As an AI/ML Platform Architect - Executive Director on the Technology Team at JPMorgan Chase within our AI/ML division, you'll lead the design, development, and implementation of our AI/ML platform. You'll need to be a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a proven track record in architecting scalable, high-performance AI/ML solutions. This role provides an opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technology to promote business transformation and deliver exceptional value to our clients .
Job responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable and robust platforms for artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) applications.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand their needs and translate them into effective platform solutions.
  • Lead the selection and integration of appropriate tools and technologies for data processing, model training, and deployment.
  • Ensure the platform supports high-performance computing and efficient resource management.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within the AI/ML platform.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies.
  • Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional architecture objectives
  • Makes and is accountable for decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
  • Manage risks and achieve business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field..
  • Formal training or certification on Computer Science concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale AI/ML platforms and solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Masters degree or PHD in a related field preferred
  • Publications or contributions to the AI/ML community.
  • Experience in the financial industry
  • Certifications in AI/ML, cloud computing, or related areas.
