The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Account Executive to join our team and drive the sales of Genius Sports' market-leading advertising solutions to brands and agencies. This role is crucial for expanding our programmatic services, including DSP platform sales and managed service activations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation: Build and manage a robust pipeline of new customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Client Identification: Identify and prioritize potential clients for Genius Sports advertising solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients through prospecting, onboarding, execution, and beyond.
  • Proposal Development: Create strategic proposals that align with client KPIs, objectives, and challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to manage client campaigns and address their needs.
  • RFP Participation: Engage in the RFP process to secure new customer business.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on key industry and digital marketing trends.

 Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a direct sales role.
  • Industry Expertise: Previous experience in selling and scaling programmatic ad campaigns at DSP, Agency, or Trading Desk.
  • Relationships: Established relationships with advertising buying and planning agencies, as well as direct client relationships.
  • Sports Content Knowledge: Strong understanding of the sports content and advertising ecosystem.
  • Sales Skills: Proven experience in prospecting, cold calling, winning business, and selling ideas to new accounts.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational, issue resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver compelling, customized sales presentations.
  • Engagement: Ability to engage with all levels of the customer's organization and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and other business purposes.
  • Self-Motivation: Highly self-motivated with professional discipline and excellent follow-through.
  • Sales Performance: Demonstrated track record of achieving aggressive sales growth targets.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

What’s in it for you?

The salary for this role is based on an annualized salary of $90000 to $110,000 per annum, plus commission, dependent on relevant experience. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
