Maximize network's linear and digital revenue opportunities by performing the following:

  • Cultivate relationships with agency and direct partners to grow existing sponsorship and transactional opportunities
  • Prospect, develop, and grow new business from traditional and non-traditional advertisers and agencies
  • Monitor competing teams, networks, facilities for advertising prospects
  • Extensive cold calling and demonstration of consistent ability to book meetings and close new business
  • Understand the business objectives and advertising strategies of clients and find ways to help them achieve their objectives through effective advertising that utilizes our complete portfolio of assets
  • Collaborate with Content, Promotions, Marketing, and Production teams to develop compelling sales opportunities
  • Create sales presentations, write effective business correspondence, negotiate with clients and agency personnel, and execute contracts
  • Work closely with Client Solutions, Traffic, and Production to properly manage and maintain accounts to ensure repeat business.
  • Update status of all pending business on weekly basis and present to management
  • Work with Finance department to collect any outstanding debt or cash in advance payments
  • Significant client entertaining, often on nights and weekends


REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Extensive experience working with C-level marketing executives developing custom campaigns
  • Strong analytical and math skills
  • Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Additional media software and/or CRM experience helpful.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients


Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 10-15 years' experience selling local/regional/network multi-platform media and/or sponsorship
