Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Co-op Data Analyst to support our organization's data analytics efforts and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives. In this role, you will utilize your skills in data analytics, Power BI, and EHS to gather, analyze, and visualize data, enabling evidence-based decision-making and ensuring compliance with EHS regulations. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify data needs, develop analytics solutions, and provide actionable insights to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Data Analytics:

  • Collect and organize data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform advanced analytics and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop data models and conduct data mining to discover opportunities or areas of improvement.
  • Apply data validation techniques to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
  • Transform complex data into easily understandable reports, dashboards, and visualizations.


Power BI:

  • Utilize Power BI toolset to create interactive visualizations and reports for data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create visually compelling dashboards.
  • Develop custom Power BI components, such as DAX queries, calculated tables, and measures.
  • Optimize performance and maintain data models within the Power BI platform.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to maximize their understanding and use of Power BI.


Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS):

  • Support EHS initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and reporting relevant data.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of EHS programs and policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks.


Educational Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
  • Proficient in using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Excel, SQL, or other database management systems.
  • Familiarity with EHS regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality work.


Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$39,600.00-$105,500.00
