Jeff Glazer has come a long way since his first days at Jackpocket. Joining in 2014 as a lottery courier, he purchased lottery tickets every evening in cash before uploading them to the app, one by one. Today, Jackpocket operates a lot differently — but the integrity remains the same. “I was always given a chance to succeed in a new role,” he said. “Whether enrolling in a training course or having one-on-ones to help my development, I knew the company was invested in my success.” Now, he’s building teams to continuously improve their user-centric product and passing his torch of experience.

QA Engineer

Fun plays an essential role in Fela Johnson’s job. That’s because, as a QA engineer for the in-app experience, she’s responsible for testing their latest Funding Bonus feature — allowing users to apply promo codes for bonus credits. “It’s both exciting and challenging from a tech perspective as it touches different parts of the application,” she said. Utilizing tech like Jira for project management, Testrail to manage features and Charles Proxy for API testing, Johnson can’t wait to see how her work builds user engagement and makes Jackpocket a stronger competitor in the mobile marketplace.

For Peter Sullivan, a love of the lottery runs in the family. His grandmother was known as the “Lotto Queen” of Brooklyn and his father plays his numbers daily. So it seemed written in the stars that he would dedicate his work to the pastime. Given the industry’s scope, he saw an opportunity to modernize participation in the lottery, as well as broaden its reach for both longtime analog players and tech-savvy newcomers. Today, Jackpocket operates in over a dozen states with a bevy of enterprise partnerships. The team hopes to one day build out a mall of interactive digital gaming experiences.
