Techstars launches new NYC-based accelerator

Techstars announced today they were taking applications for a new IoT accelerator program based in New York. The 15-week program, which is called Techstars IoT, is in partnership with PwC, GE, Bosch, SAP and Verizon.

announced today they were taking applications for a new IoT accelerator program based in New York. The 15-week program, which is called Techstars IoT, is in partnership with PwC, GE, Bosch, SAP and Verizon. 

“We are looking for startups that are positioned to rewire the infrastructure of the future with specific emphasis on software and artificial intelligence, connected enterprise, smart cities and energy, advanced manufacturing, health and wearables, logistics and automotive, VR, AR, drones and robotics, agriculture, and the connected home,” Jenny Fielding, Managing Director at Techstars said in a statement

The program will be located in the Barclays Rise coworking space, about a half a block from Madison Square Garden. The application period is open until July 10th, and you can find out more about that process here

Techstars has had some notable successes with IoT companies in the past, and Revolv, Astro, Owlet and Sphero are all alumni.
