New study documents dramatic growth of women entrepreneurs in New York City

This week, the Center for an Urban Future published a groundbreaking new study that revealed a dramatic surge in women entrepreneurs in New York City, showing that the number of women-owned businesses grew four times as fast as male-owned businesses during the past five years. The comprehensive report states that the number of women-owned businesses in New York between 2002 and 2012 grew by 65 percent (or 45 new businesses per day.) This added more than 56,000 jobs and $3 billion in payroll to the city’s economy. [PR Newswire]

Tech Incubator at Cornell's Roosevelt Island Campus Tops Out
