With summer in full swing, New York City’s parks have transformed into havens where city dwellers can do just that. On any given night you’re bound to see hundreds of adults sweating it out on the field and in the dirt. In honor of corporate summer league season beginning, we’ve rounded up a number of New York startups that participate in local leagues, so you can actually work hard and play hard at work.
What they do: VTS is a commercial leasing and asset management platform for landlords and brokerages. Using VTS, landlords can track leasing trends across their buildings and brokers can manage their leasing pipelines.
Sports league: VTS is in both softball and basketball leagues, which they rightfully take very seriously. What they do: Chances are you know what Spotify does, and it’s also likely you used the company’s service today. What they do: Tapad is a marketing tech company that allows marketers to address the new and ever-evolving reality of media consumption on smartphones, tablets, home computers and smart TVs. Specifically, the company’s technology is used by agency trading desks, publishers, marketing tech companies and Fortune 500 brands to provide an accurate, unified approach to connecting with consumers across screens.
Sports league: Tapad employees have a slew of intramural sports teams to join, from softball to soccer to volleyball. The company also offers fully-sponsored private yoga and Soul Cycle classes. The company also offers full health benefits, a 401(k) and up to six months paid parental leave.
What they do: Simulmedia was founded in 2008 with a mission to run data-optimized advertising on national linear TV in order to produce better results. Now, the company runs thousands of campaigns for brands and networks, using predictive technology to deliver better ROI than other linear TV solutions.
Sports league: In addition to a softball league, employees at Simulmedia get a competitive salary, full medical benefits, a 401(k), stock options and unlimited paid time off.
