Prove has announced the appointment of Mitch Bompey as chief legal officer. Bompey brings over 25 years of legal expertise in data management, privacy, security and technology licensing to Prove. Previously, he served as general counsel and chief risk officer at Addepar, a fintech data platform, and as managing director at Morgan Stanley. Bompey’s legal experience and his time working in data sectors will help Prove expand its product offerings worldwide.
During his tenure at Addepar, Bompey oversaw all legal functions and played a crucial role in establishing broker-dealer and investment advisor entities. He also secured contracts with major enterprises in the wealth management industry, contributing to the company’s international growth. Prior to that, at Morgan Stanley, Bompey served as the global head of the Technology, Data Protection & Sourcing legal team, providing support for technology-related matters on a global scale.
According to the company, Prove’s identity verification and authentication platform, along with its Prove Identity Network, are trusted by over 1,000 businesses, including nine of the top 10 U.S. banks, to ensure secure digital transactions.
