Cleerly secured $43M. Working to address cardiovascular disease and heart attacks, the Cleerly platform provides tools for physicians, clinicians, patients and payers to navigate care. Vensana Capital led this Series B, and the money will be used to invest in R&D, expand the commercial reach of its platform, and form strategic partnerships. [Built In NYC]
DataRails raised $25M. Coming off a year of growth, DataRails is planning to expand its global headcount. The company provides SMBs with a cloud-based platform with tools for financial planning and analytics. This is an extension of a Series A initially announced back in April, bringing the round’s total to $43.5 million. Investors like Zeev Ventures and Innovation Endeavors participated in the raise. NYC Tech Quote of the Week
Aircall pulled in $120M. This company works to equip enterprises’ sales and customer support teams with vital information to better manage their calls. Now a unicorn, Aircall is using the funding to grow its team, hiring for more than 20 NYC-based positions. Figma opened a tech hub in NYC. The San Francisco-based company develops software for website design, and it’s building out its presence by opening a new talent hub in NYC. Instead of being an office, the hub will embrace a hybrid work model for local employees. With about 40 team members there so far, Figma is hoping to double that number by the end of the year. MetaProp closed a $100M fund. With its eye on proptech startups as the world pursues economic recovery following the pandemic, this VC firm closed on its third fund. MetaProp has more than 130 companies in its portfolio to date, and several startups have already received investments from its Fund III.
