It's summer in February.
And luckily, when it comes to unseasonably warm weather in the middle of winter, a number of local tech companies have outdoor workspaces that allows their employees to get some well-deserved Vitamin C.
Here are four companies with the amazing outdoor office spaces in New York:
Spotify opened up its NYC office back in 2013, and decked out the space with a small auditorium for jam sessions, a 'tech vending machine,' game rooms and graffiti art. The space also boasts a swanky patio that overlooks the New York City skyline, where employees can recline in lounge chairs as they work.
Situated in the Empire State Building, Shutterstock’s headquarters follow a free-flowing and open plan office setup, with hidden nooks sprinkled throughout the space for employees to work in. The office also has a large outdoor patio for workers to set up work stations, with sweeping views of the New York skyline surrounding the space.
Button’s office is located in the penthouse of an unassuming building in Gramercy. When employees need a change of pace from the office’s open floor plan, they can head up to the building’s rooftop to work.
In the heart of Chelsea, Google’s NYC office is located within the former Port Authority building at 111 Eighth Avenue. The space is designed to encapsulate the essence of New York City, complete with a conference room that resembles a New York apartment. The rooftop terrace on the 16th floor tops off the building, complete with a helipad for quick getaways.
