NYC, Silicon Valley and...Israel? The country’s startup scene is more successful than it’s ever been, according to The Economist Intelligence Unit. In 2017, Israeli startups raised a combined $5.2 billion, up 9 percent from the previous year.
And with funding comes expansion. Many Israeli startups are making their way to the U.S. — and settling down right here in NYC. Check out the startups that have made the move.

Founded in 2010, Sisense makes it easier for non-technical professionals to analyze large data sets from multiple sources. It’s received recognition from The Wall Street Journal, Frost and Sullivan and others, and works with a number of brands across 48 countries. The company is led by CEO Amir Orad, who has held the position since 2015.
Marketing tech platform Yotpo lets users leave product reviews directly on a brand’s social media page. It recently raised $51 million in new funding, which it will use to help grow out its new office in Salt Lake City. The startup currently has 300 employees across its Salt Lake City, NYC and Israel offices, and is continuing to expand.
Tel Aviv-based Riskified has a strong reputation in its home city, and now it’s coming for NYC. The startup, which produces fraud protection services for companies looking to improve their security, was founded in 2013 and opened its NYC headquarters in October 2016. Since then, it has added 48 full-time employees to the NoMad office.
Since being founded in 2010, Fiverr has raised a total of $111 million in funding and made two acquisitions. The company, which is led by co-founders Micha Kaufman and Shai Wininger, helps connect freelancers with work. The digital marketplace currently lists over 3 million gigs in more than 100 different categories, and serves 196 countries.
Bizzabo helps business better plan and measure corporate events by giving them access to analytics, automation and personalization features. The company was launched in 2011 and now has locations in both NYC and Tel Aviv. Currently, it’s used by thousands of event organizers all over the world and has received awards and recognition from a number of sources, including Capterra and Gartner.
