We reported last year on women shaping venture capital in NYC and featured some of the city’s most influential female partners. Though women are still the minority in the industry, NYC tech is making us hopeful. A number of local startups are dedicated to leveling out those numbers. Companies like The Helm and ElleVest are committed to educating women on investments and encouraging them to get involved in the male-dominated industry.

That, along with examples of female professionals in venture capital, signals that the gender gap will soon narrow. Check out which female VCs are setting the example for other women.
