Picking a coworking space is a big commitment. Not only will you be spending a ton of time wherever you choose, you’ll also be dropping a good chunk of dough. Now there's a way you don't have to choose.

is kind of like for coworking spaces. For as little as $39 a month, you get access to about 30 different coworking locations in New York, as well as a handful in Boston and Washington D.C. Simply hit a button on their app, and you're in.

The pricing structure is tied to the number of hours you're allowed to spend in a space. For $39 a month you get 10 hours, for $100 you get 40 hours, and for $299 you can go unlimited. Given the price of coworking spaces in New York, it's a hard deal to pass up.

The founding of Croissant is as interesting as its core concept. In mid-2015, the founders were busily working away at another project called Perqy. Not wanting to blow the money on a coworking space, they worked from coffee shops around Manhattan. As anyone who's attempted such a feat knows, finding an open table for one person, let alone four, is a nightmare.

When the Perqy team participated in a hackathon, they built Croissant. The initial version of the service let people book tables at coffee shops, not coworking spaces.

“We quickly found out that coffeeshops weren’t really into the idea of reserving tables,” Nisha Garigarn, cofounder at Croissant said. “So, on a whim, we started asking coworking spaces if they were interested.”

They were, and today coworking spaces are hunting down Croissant to be included in the service. The rest is history — as is Perqy.

Croissant is still a young company, but they're looking to expand to other cities. They've recently added a few locations in Boston and Washington D.C., and are carefully choosing other cities for later expansion.
